Meet the Founder
Brittanie Gonzales
Brittanie is a devoted wife to Jose, proud mom of five, and someone who knows firsthand what it means to face life’s toughest challenges. Her journey through crisis began with her two babies in the NICU—one with a collapsed lung at birth and the other with a pneumothorax—experiences that left her focused solely on one question: “Will my baby be okay?”
Life tested her again when her husband suffered a sudden spinal cord injury while picking up their youngest children from daycare. Overnight, their world changed. As they navigated recovery, they encountered gaps in resources, equipment, and financial support, and faced the mental toll of trauma, depression, and anxiety. Her husband’s repeated need for specialized inpatient mental health care for paraplegics highlighted a heartbreaking reality: far too many families are denied life-saving care because of systemic limitations and a lack of accessible resources.
Through these experiences, Brittanie has witnessed the transformative power of community, faith, and a supportive village. Guided by God and the network of people who carried them through, she founded The Anchor Project—a place where no one faces crisis alone, where families can access vital medical resources, and where hope and healing are anchored in community.
