Meet the Chief Operations Officer
Jose Gonzales
Jose is the Chief Operating Officer of The Anchor Project, bringing resilience, leadership, and a deeply personal understanding of navigating life-changing challenges. A devoted husband and father of five, Jose’s life was transformed overnight when he suffered a sudden spinal cord injury while picking up his youngest children from daycare.
Through his recovery, Jose experienced firsthand the gaps in resources, accessible medical care, and mental health support for individuals with disabilities. These experiences ignited his commitment to ensuring that no one faces crisis alone and that families have the tools, support, and guidance they need to navigate life’s toughest moments.
At The Anchor Project, Jose applies his operational expertise to create systems that make lifesaving resources accessible, sustainable, and compassionate. Guided by faith, family, and a mission to build stronger communities, he works alongside his wife, Brittanie, to ensure every family facing crisis feels supported, empowered, and never forgotten.
